Island Hopping

We decided, while Ben's parents and grandmother were here, to visit Koh Kret Island. My 5 followers will remember I previously blogged about Koh Kret here and here. I get to see a little more each time I go. Andy and I were the only one's who had been on the island so far but I had never been on a weekend when the shops and venders are out though so this was going to be a new experience for all.

It's an island so of course you have to take the ferry boat across the river.

Can you see Danny? Benny is easy to spot in his yellow Inca Cola shirt.
The kids found the toys right away.

Sometimes I surprise myself and take really great pics.
After walking for a while we headed back towards the boat, but not before stopping for some lunch along the river.

Yummy, CHEAP Curry!

Not enough room for everyone to sit together.

yummy snack
Bellies full we hit the remaining shops on the way out and saw a few more sights before getting back to the ferry boats and heading back to civilization and air conditioning.

Can you tell who had the camera?

1st ones on get the priority seating at the back of the boat. I call it the really HOT seating since it's in the sun and behind the engine so you get to inhale all of the exhaust and go deaf from the motor. :)

Everyone had fun and our visitors got to experience a little piece of Thailand that not many know about. Great little get-away not far from home.
