Creativity thrives!

It's been a busy weekend for me with nothing on the agenda. Normally I Loathe having absolutely nothing to do while everyone else is either playing on the XBOX or computer. I feel so left out. This happened earlier this week and I found myself sitting in front of the sewing machine making more of these...

I managed to crank out 2 more of the green guys but with bigger eyes this time. Too Cute!

So Saturday comes and everyone is occupied with their electronics so I head upstairs. After debating over which of several things I had picked out in my head to do I decided to do some scrapbooking. I printed out some pictures from scouting a few months ago and never got around to scrapping anything, until today that is.
Here is what I came out with on Saturday.

This took me a couple of hours and I kinda like the way it came out with the Awards in there and all.

Saturday evening I started making a dough for cinnamon rolls. I thought it would be finished in time for everyone to have one for a snack before bed but I guess I started too late. I didn't take into consideration the hour and a half needed for rising. So I finished them up after the kids were in bed, baked 4 or 5 for Ben and I to taste, and put the rest in the fridge for the AM bake.
I got up early enough to get ready for Church AND put the Cinnamon rolls in the oven. I didn't get to have one until we got home from church (and Wal*Mart) though but a few seconds in the microwave and they were awesome. This is all that was leftover from a double batch (or 3 trays full)...
So Yummy!
So after church and Wal*Mart and cinnamon rolls I was once again on my own. Ben was working on the rockets for the upcoming Rocket Derby with the boys in between having them clean their rooms and XBOX.

The Baronator and The Killer Whale
It took me a couple of hours to finally decide how everything should go and what to use and what to leave out but here are the final pages for today's scrapping...
So far it has been a productive weekend. No school tomorrow but a day full of activities planned so the creativity is probably signing off until it finds some obscure uneventful weekend/evening to play again.
